How India achieved its goal from 38% of toilets coverage to 95 % lets discuss.

     

On the ocation of world toilet day Now 25 states & UTs of India are officially  declared  open Defecation  free and over more than 95% of the country's  peoples have access to toilets.
       But the question is how India get this milestone what was the journey and the policyes that make it happen.We will discuss  it in our blog
 
       Our Journey  start from 2014 when the Newly  elected NDA led government comes into the power and Narendra Modi elected as PM of India. Now this time was to celebrate india's 65 th Republic  Day when it was first time happen in the history of India that a PM talks about sanitation and toilets in his speech from the iconic Red fort.It was the time when the Dark side of world,s fastest growing  economy ,a largest Democracy,s comes out infront of the world.It was the matter of shame and time for India to rexamin there policyes and It was happened same.
  On 2nd of October  the  birth anniversary  of Mahatma Gandhi PM Modi started a campaign named 'SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN' (Mission to clean India) it was the one of Gandhi's Dreams to clean India .
    The New minisry has formed specially  for sanitation named as Ministry  of Drinking water and Sanitation. Over 80 million toilets were made all across  India and the work has done at War level.  Now this is the list of States with there % of Open defecation free and its a matter of pride for all Indian.
